Thornhill is a small village 14 miles from the city of Stirling and lies on the edge of the Trossachs and
overlooks Flanders Moss and the Campsie Hills. The village is ideally place to tour the Loch Lomand
& Trossachs National Park with the towns of Callander and Aberfoyle within easy driving distance (20 minutes).
Event highlights are its weekly market, the August Gala with scarecrows around every corner and not forgettingthe infamous "Big Onion" competion in September, which is an event which combines the rich horticultural enthusiasm of the locals with an equally enthusiastic thirst, traditionally quenched at the Crown Hotel
